I see this vintage bus around town sometimes. I thought at first that it was used exclusively as a schoolbus, but those are labelled differently. Now, I’m not so sure.

Germans will slap an “American-style” label on almost anything if they think it’ll sell more. Sometimes, they get it right. Usually, they get it dead wrong, with humorous results.
This “American-Style” steakhouse is in Regensburg, a short distance away from the Altstadt. I liked it, but I thought the Statue of Liberty napkins were a bit over the top.
The food was pretty great though. It’ll never top a steak in an American steakhouse, but it was very tasty.

The Altstadt is full of cobblestone and tiny alleyways. This sort of view? It’s an everyday sight here.

Regensburg is fairly popular with tourists. Besides having a first rate Dom and a great Stone Bridge that has been in use since the Crusades. We’re also on the Donau river, and the river tour boats like to stop here, so it’s not uncommon to see tour groups in the Altstadt on weekends.
There’s also this, the city tour. I went on it once- It was interesting, but not the sort of thing I’d bother doing over again. It’s fun to see this winding its way through the city on weekends though- if you hang out for a while, you’ll see it two or three times in a day.

Germans love their Eis, or ice cream. Especially on a hot day. Every day, I see people with ice cream cones. Yesterday, I rode past one “Eiscafe” that had a line out the door.
Even these guys took the time for an ice cream break.
What’s your favorite flavor? (Mine is chocolate, naturally.)
